Change
AUSTIN MILLER-ANDERSON

No one’s perfect, especially me
My life was once full of glee.

But then I was different, I made mistakes
My heart & feelings I would fake.

I did this once, I did it twice
But did I change?
Well no, not quite.

This time I was taken across the street
To the jail where I would meet
Adults & strangers of every kind
I was going crazy and out of my mind.

Now I hope & pray of going home
Cry at night with a high pitch tone

I want to change and be an adult
Put making mistakes to a halt.

I now am different, I now am done
The new me is here, the old is gone.
